The Healing Within is an abstract interpretation of Gautam Buddha in meditation, created as a visual meditation on the journey inward. The seated figure, rendered in deep violet through intricate beadwork and embellishment, represents stillness, introspection and the quiet strength found in moments of solitude.
At the centre rests a luminous Aurora Rose Quartz stone from Hong Kong heart, a symbol of self-love, emotional restoration and the healing that begins from within. The radiating beads surrounding the figure suggest an expanding field of consciousness, as though stillness itself is creating ripples through the space around the meditating form.
The softly distressed neutral ground provides a sense of earthiness and imperfection, contrasting with the jewel-like intensity of the Buddha. This tension between rawness and radiance, silence and energy, vulnerability and strength gives the work its contemporary character.
A contemplative work about returning inward, quieting the mind and discovering that the deepest form of healing is already within us.
